Home Improvement Guide Hub

This hub is something that I'm going to be expanding on over time to make it a top quality resource for finding information about how to improve the design of you home. There are lots of things to think about when designing and improving a home as I'm sure we all know. The first two things I'm going to talk about are the garden and the garage but I'll be adding more in the near future. The Garage
Often overlooked, the garage is an important part of any home and should be taken seriously when you're designing your house. However, the garage is often more of a functional room than other parts of the house so you need to make sure you design it in a way that will be most simple to use. For example, the garage should be organised correctly and in a way that allows you easy access to the things you use regularly while at the same time providing enough storage space for your needs.

One thing to think about is which garage door to buy. There are a huge number of options – probably thousands at any one time – so you need to take your time. Generally if you have a big budget you should go for wooden garage doors while if you have a small budget a vinyl or metal one would be better. Of course, the style of your home should also be a factor so that you make sure you get the right one.

The Garden

The garden is another aspect of home design that many people think is too complicated to do but is actually relatively straightforward.

Before you begin looking to decorate you garden you need to think about its purpose. For example, do you want a garden to entertain guests? Is it important to have an area for children to play in? Would you prefer to have a decorative garden? When designing a garden you need to think about the style, the lighting and landscaping in order to create eh perfect design.

Obviously this is barely scratching the surface when it comes to home design but as I mentioned more will be added over time in order to make this into a more useful resource. In the future I'll add sections about kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms as well as adding to the garages and garden sections.  Home improvement is important so I'll try to make this a real resource!
